According to Maharishi Valmiki Ramayana, the city of Ayodhya is situated on the southern bank of the sacred Saryu river. In Ayodhya, Ram temple has been built at the same place where Hindu god Purushottam Ram was born. Ayodhya is currently located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India.And on 22nd January 2024, the temple has been consecrated in Ayodhya to be remembered forever.
How to reach Ayodhya?
If you want to visit Ayodhya Ram temple then you can use various transportation facilities like:
Bus: If you want to travel by bus then you can book ticket for Ayodhya bus stand.
Train: If you want to travel by train, you can book a ticket for Ayodhya Dham junction [AY] or Ayodhya Cantt [AYC] and start your journey. The distance of Ram Mandir from here is approximately 2KM.
Flight: If you want to go by flight, you can also book a ticket to Maharshi Valmiki international airport [AYJ] which is 11.3 KM from Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
How to visit Ram Mandir?
You should start your journey in the morning so that you can see all the places from here properly and if you want to visit Ram temple Ayodhya then reach Hanuman Gadhi first thing in the morning.
The style of construction of the temple and the size of the temple:
- The temple has been constructed in Nagar style and the size of the temple is 380 feet in length, 250 feet in width and 161 feet in height.
- Ram Mandir Ayodhya built by Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya is one of the most expensive projects whose estimated total cost is Rs. 1900 crores.
Features Of The Temple:
- The temple has 392 pillars and 44 doors and is 3 storeyed in which the height of each storey is 20 feet.
- A rectangular wall has been built around the temple, whose total length is 732 meters and width is 14 feet.
- Before entering the temple, a lion gate has been built for which one has to climb 32 steps.
- Ramps and lifts have been built for disabled people and elderly people.
- Golden sheets have been installed on the four doors of the temple and a 21 feet granite plinth has been made to protect the temple from soil moisture.
Other Features Of The Temple:
- Special emphasis has been laid on environment and water conservation in the temple, due to which 70% of the 70 hectares is always filled with water.
- Sita Kitchen, ATM, Emergency Medical Aid Center have been constructed in the temple for the convenience of the devotees.
Timings To Enter Shri Ram Temple:
- The gate of Shri Ram Mandir remains open for the devotees to visit Ram Janmabhoomi Temple from 6:30 am to 9:30 pm.
- About one to one and a half lakh pilgrims visit the temple every day and about 11 to 12 lakh pilgrims visit it in a week.
- It is being told that this temple will earn about Rs 6 lakh crore within the next one to two years.
Other Places In Ayodhya:
Hanuman Gadhi:
This is one of the famous places here. Hanuman Garhi is a fort-like temple where Hanuman ji is depicted as a sentinel. The opening hours of the temple are between 6 am to 7 am and closes at 11 am and then remains open from 4 pm to 11 pm. Here you can see the beauty of this place in the temple which looks very charming. Here you can carry electronics items. Hanuman Chalisa and other couplets are written on the walls here.
